- Current Version 1.00.03 - VB.NET
Free formed lists. Created
mainly to help my good lady wife to leave me lists I
can read.
And to enhance my slowly evolving VB.Net skills.
All best intentions offering this product to anyone
who cares to give it a fair go.
Do whatever you want except claim its yours.

buttons to Tool Strip after converting all .ico
libraries to .gif. Major undertaking.
Changed
Icons.
Updated Node
icons.
A Right-click
on a tree node now selects that tree node before
displaying the popup menu.
I've
lightened up a bit with more wording
and spelling corrections on this web page.

Enhancements:
DB Form now
shows .exe name.
All message
boxes now show .exe name.
Implemented
auto scrolling for Tree view drag.
(It was there before just got lost when the
'Handles' handle fell off)
Sample DB may
have had start position beyond normal screen size.
(I have four screens and don't know how I could
return to just one.)
More wording
and spelling corrections on this web page.

You
don't have to - but
You
can copy and rename the executable to anything you
want.
Which will be reflected in the forms
title bar.
You
can name the root node anything you want . And
it will also be reflected in the title bar.
You
can also copy and rename the MSAccess DB to anything
you want.
Executing a newly copied and renamed .exe will ask
for its associated database.

Select the newly copied and renamed database.
Click Open then Click OK.

Here we've opened an
existing db we renamed to myToDoList.mdb.
Of course it will have the previous data.
Just go thru and delete
all the children.
Then click the right mouse for the popup menu.

And just edit the Root name and the form title will
reflect the change.

From here just insert as many child nodes as you
need where you need.
The tree has been design to have endless nodes.
The download contains a FreeList.mdb and a
FreeList.exe in a Windows XP compressed format.
All form size and position properties are saved in the database.
The
database name is saved in the registry based upon
the .exe name.
OK you can ask me for the code now.
Even thou I'm embarrassed to offer it. I'm
happy for others to be able to learn from it.
Whether its how to do something or how NOT to do
something.
I started with a project from
www.thecodeproject.com.
And have tried to leave all the original code and
credits intact.
If you don't know if your download are already being
checked
or how to safely check your downloads
for viruses
then I strongly suggest that you take this
opportunity to find out now
by researching the issue before downloading.
That goes of any download. Not just mine.
As always any positive constructive suggests are
greatly appreciated for any of the software I've
written.
All the best to Everyone.
