I have purchased the ADK
license. ADK is NOT a server license.
WARNING: VALENTINA
code examples on the Wiki showing
‘Va’, ‘len’, ‘tina’ - would only work for me
when I used ' as the delimiter.
WARNING: VALENTINA
V1.1 ADK and V3.1 ADK LICENSES ARE
NOT COMPATIBLE
!!!!
DEPENDING ON HOW YOU USE VALENTINA THESE ISSUES MAY
NOT
PRESENT THEMSELVES IN AN OBVIOUS MANNER !!!!
WARNING: VALENTINA
VS 3.0 and VS 3.1 ARE NOT
COMPATIBLE!
Valentina v3.1 updates the database schema and VS 3.0
is NOT able to open it.
WARNING:
Valentina v3.0 updates the database schema and VS
3.1
is NOT able to open it.
WARNING: When
upgrading to VALENTINA
v3.1 all references to v3.0 must be removed.
This would include any Plugins for v3.0 AND any .exe
built with v3.0.
Any subsequent run of a v3.0 exe will change the
structure back to v3.0 schema.
WARNING: VALENTINA
DOES NOT warn you that the License number you are
using is incorrect.
You only find out after the 10 minute timer expires.
And if you don't know exactly which
timer-expired-error to check for, you can miss it.
After timing out on my server app, I was actually
loosing data from missing rows.
And subsequent queries would error or return
nothing.
In my controlled development environment:
I was forced to place a timer on my server app that
Quit my server app after 9 minutes.
I then placed a Start Server button on my client
app.
In my retail version once I received the valid
license.
I would have the proper licenses applied.
I would then Remove the timer and Start Server
button.
And Recompile.
WARNING: Executing
REALbasic from the taskbar is different than
executing a .rbp from windows explorer association.
You could have REALbasic 2007 r3 on the task bar and
REALbasic 2007 r2 associated with .rbp files.
Where r3 has a v3.1 plugins and the associated .rbp
for
r2 has a v3.0 plugins.
